I've donated two to our local nonprofit shop and given two to friends who bought cool vintage bikes with shredded older saddles. I built up two of the last three bikes I got on my own though, so I didn't have a stock saddle to deal with.

I have a plastic surgeon resculpt the contours of my arse, so that I don't have to waste a perfectly good saddle.

After two rides I wanted to throw my stock saddle in a wood chipper so it would burn better. I was mature and donated it to the local co-op.

Put the OEM saddle in the spares box - just pulled it back out because the replacement saddle failed. I used it for a few days until the new (more comfortable) saddle arrived, and now it's back in the spares box with those miscellaneous pieces that "you just might use someday."

The original saddle on my Specialized Hard Rock has been with me in my 10+ moves over the past 20 years (longer than I was married 
I suppose I will have to marry it at some point to consummate our relationship (Big grin)

The first ride on a stock saddle is fine. 2nd or 3rd ride it starts to hurt some. I say I am out of shape, it will get better. 3rd or 4th ride is pure torture, so I get a Wilderness Trail Bikes saddle. Problem solved. I think I will give those saddles to a bike shop to give away free, in case they work for someone.

Man, I love the Volt. Came with my Salsa Journeyman, now it's on my Kona mtb. Anyway - stock saddles are like any other component; sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't.

I’m riding the stock saddle on my 4 bikes. Never had to replace a saddle because I could not ride it. I think many people are to quick to toss them and don’t give them a chance. By the time they do replace it they have just about adjust to it so the new one feels great.

And sometimes they're just carp. On my hybrid Giant chintzed out on the saddle and the pedals to keep the price point. I gave my stock saddle a fair chance; it wasn't uncomfortable, it was SOMETHING'S WRONG STOP IT painful. You, my friend, are very lucky.

My stock saddle is usually the Brooks Cambium C17 Carved because none of the frames I get come with saddles. Though most of what I get that are stock saddles go to friends or others or are just in the parts bin just in case. I do have a rather terrible Giant saddle on my hybrid but it was free and has some pink on it and for short rides it is fine but longer stuff I wouldn't want to ride it but I just haven't found a good replacement that fits in with that bike as well.

I just ride them. I'm strange as I don't seem to be as picky about the saddle on my bike as some. I ride a SSM Regal (wide and very soft), a Specialized Romin Evo (wide, very little padding and flexy), a carbon-railed Giant Contact SL-R (narrow, racy and unyielding) , a Terry Fly (wide and over-padded) and some sort of own brand MTB saddle (non-descript) depending what bike I'm on. I've only had one saddle I couldn't stand, a Bontrager years ago. The Giant saddle bothered me for a while but has become a favorite. I raced on a Selle Italia Turbo or a SSM Concor for years back in the day.

My stock saddle from my Novara actually went on my fat bike. Didn't like it on the Novara, but it was great for a different riding position on a different bike. The stock saddle on my Scott MTB stayed on it until it deteriorated past the point of usefulness, it was the most comfortable saddle I had ever ridden.
The rest get tossed in a box. If/when I sell bikes, it is a benefit I can offer to the purchaser if they don't like whats on there, if family or friends want to try something, they can have anything in there.
