Currently I don't use any GPS, but after spending too much time researching them here and elsewhere I'm gonna buy a Garmin 60csx in the very near future. REI and other outdoors stores want about $400 for one but Amazon has them for $300 right now.

Every day a winding road
I'm using a Garmin GpsMap 76C. IMHO it has the perfect form factor for touring. The added plus is that it takes regular batteries.

I took the garmin nuvi i use in my car. Used it a few times and was helpful.

I use a Garmin eTrex Legend Cx. It runs on two AA batteries and a handlebar mount is available. I've used it to discover new trails when mountain biking, and help navigate while on tour. After the tour I use the GPS track to geocode my photos.

Palm TX with Cetus software and a Bluetooth GPS unit. The Palm becomes a GPS unit when the Bluetooth GPS unit is paired with it. The Palm also allows access to the Internet and E-mail when in Wi-Fi hot spots. The Palm also has a SD slot allowing upload of photos and videos directly from my cameras SD card. I can easily recharge the batteries in the Palm and GPS unit with this circuit.

HTC Kaiser which is just a windows mobile phone with built in keyboard and gps receiver and host of other bells and whistles. I prefer one device as opposed to carrying mp3, phone, camera etc etc etc.

I was also looking at the 60 csx before the Vista hcx came out. Then, I went for the Vista because it is smaller than the 60, and offered me everything I need for riding or driving.

I picked up a Garmin eTrex Vista on eBay. Took it on a ride for the first ime over the weekend and was wowed. It will be very helpful on the next tour, no more worries about a wrong turn.
