2007 Cannondale T2000 Brakes

I changed out my Cantilever brakes for V brakes and cool stop brake shoes today and WOW what a world of difference it made, now I can lock up my brakes if need be. Anybody else wanting to make this change should really do it, you won't regret it. You will need a set of these if you do.https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...vel+Agent.aspx this does away with your noodle, and I used barrel adjusters for future adjustment of the shoes.

My spouse got a T-2000 late last summer.
Made several changes to adopt it to her preferences,
also installed KoolStop salmon pads on the stock brakes-
that alone made a big difference in how the bike stops.

I just built up a Cannondale T2000 and I put V's on it. The V's stop much better than the canti's I've had on previous bikes.

Hi EZ-SportAX Curt, I also have a 2007 T2000 and the brakes have disappointed me. Currently my front brakes will cause the bike to chatter just as I am about to stop. I was thinking of changing the front pads to solve this problem but since reading your post I may consider V brakes. Maybe you could post a couple of photo's to show me what your setup looks like. What parts did you have to purchase in order to make the conversion? Thanks for any help.

Cane Creek has v-brake aero style levers now as an alternative to travel agents:

I have the same bike, and the "chatter" is a big problem. The LBS said it was the headset??? They tweaked it, and it seemed to be better, but now I still have the same problem, with big vibration as I'm braking, only on the front. Is this a common problem? How do I fix it? Thanks.

I bought my T2000 6 years ago and they came with Avid shorty 4 brakes. If by some misfortune you have them you will have a hard time getting them not to sequal. I finally replace them. After reading this thread I am going to do this change. The breaks I have now are okay but I think I would like to have the v break set up.

Here's a few pics of my T2000 with V brakes, be sure to use barrel adjusters, that way you can get your shoes very close to the rims. The way they look here I have about half brake lever pull. That little round triangle thing you see in the pictures, your brake cable wraps around it for better pull.
