I was able to get out and ride the last two days. Friday was my first for about 10 miles, and just over an hour of riding today. Its cool/cold but other than my firngers getting a little cold. It was great to get out for that first one. Roads were great, lakes are still frozen and snow left in the wooded areas yet, but roads were clear.

Saturday afternoon was too gorgeous to not ride. It was my first Illinois ride of any distance. Only 27 miles, but it was great to be in the sun.

Been out a dozen or so times already,

Worked all day Saturday and will today too....Just so Kimbercop can go ride, yea right!!! Dig that stuff out and go ride, kimbie.........EARN THIS!

Saw tons of riders on the bike path, and a pretty good sized group leaving from what used to be "Bicycle Heaven" on Sat....

I sit on Campton Hill Rd just watching the bikes go by.......all day.......while I'm working. I'll be out on Mon, Tues and Weds, all 'spose to be great days

On another note, let's get "bikewire" going for the year....log those miles!

It definitely was a beautiful day to ride yesterday. Put in a nice'n easy 42 miles with the sun shining and the temps creeping up into the 50's.
This was my 5th ride outside this year. The other ones were in 20 and 25 degree weather. It's a nice change from those cold rides.

The Road bike has still not seen the light of day, just the studded winter bike. The roads are no longer snow covered and it is supposed to break 40 today which means lots of water and mud on them. The forecast calls for some rain mid week maybe after that they will be ridable.

On a side not I did get over 100 miles on the snowmobile yesterday does that count.

P.S. Post up some ride pictures so I can see what the earth looks like without snow.

My wife and I took our first outdoor ride today. Took the road bikes 15 miles at a pretty-decent pace. She was a little reluctant to go - saying it was going to be cold, but it wasn't bad at all. I was out in shorts and armwarmers and had no problem.

I looped over through the Hills mid-afternoon. Tons of riders out, but none doing double pacelines, so the cops were cool.

Great to be back out there.

I got out today for some solo and small group riding..not sure how many miles...I started out by parking the car, with my soccer gear, at a park my club practices and rode from there for about 1.5 hours. Got back to the park and threw the bike in the car, changed and played soccer for about an hour. Combined with the 1.5 hour "killer" compuTrainer session yesterday, my legs are dead. It felt good to ride outside!

Did BH go out of business or this is reference to a location they used to be at?

RJBTrek- The shop is moving to a bigger/better location in Geneva. It's currently "in limbo" as the move is happening and should be open around the first week in April.

I was in that group. I have been out 6 or more times this year so far. Saturday's ride was by far the best. I hadn't been eating much since I lost my job on Thursday so that I was afraid that I would bonk, but I didn't.

I ended up hauling ass with 2 of the cat 1/2's off the front towards the end. They went easy on me and did almost all of the work. That said even they said, "psimet?!! NICE. Nice riding my man."

I am strong right now. I have more too.

I did the lap around Busse Woods a few weeks ago to check out the work I'd done over the winter, and got to ride by some guy icefishing. Never done that before. My first real ride for fun/commuting was over the weekend, and it did feel really good to be out again.

I got out, not far or fast, but I was out. Was looking forward to today until my youngest was diagnosed with Strep Throat. Now I'm home playing daddy.

Out twice....down twice! But, hey, I'm not complaining. It just feels so good to be back out there.

Rode 30 miles on Sunday and 20 today. Fell both days doing stupid stuff....one on a railroad track and one just turning into my cul de sac. I think it's just from being off the bike since, uh, Thanksgiving.

Ended up only with a nasty bruise on my outer thigh. Could have been worse.

Wanted to say that what hepatitis takes away Psimet giveth back...my finely tuned bike had me riding similar speeds as last year. I think it's the endurance that I'll need to work on getting back.
