Interesting restoration video

I was browsing YouTube today and ran across this. As much as I like to see bikes live a long life, I'm afraid that I would have relegated this one to the scrap metal bin. Headset installation made me cringe.

I audibly groaned a few times. No grease on any of the bits that will rust and freeze in the frame. Reused rusty cables and housing. The pitting in the cups...

This is exactly the type of thing I would have done in the first month or two of getting into the hobby. Find a rusty POS, spend way too much money and way too much time to end up with a poorly made bike. Actually that is what I did.

Bikes: Lots of English 3-speeds, a couple of old road bikes, 3 mountain bikes, 1 hybrid, and a couple of mash-ups

Diet Pepsi rusts remover ftw!

Was that orange juice in lieu of oxalic acid?
