Pantograph Bike Parts
I've been doing a bit of pantograph/engraving work on both old and new bicycle components over the last few years so I thought I'd show a few examples on here as I know a few people have asked me to post some once I'm up to the required 10 posts, so here goes......

Oh, now you're just teasing me. I've been looking for Coppi stuff using that specific rounded-italicized font face and I'm beating my face on a wall trying to find a stem (got a panto'd like-new Campy NR seat post recently for $72).
I have a line through a BF'er for a stem using the big blocky font, but it doesn't nicely match anything on my bike. I can't afford rings or levers so I'm not even going to bother looking for those, seat post cost half what I paid for the whole frame and fork.
Still ... absolute stonker of a job, magnificent work. You've got a natural talent!

The one (very minor detail) I have noticed since 'way back in the 1970s when I worked at a Trophy Shop with an in-house engraver (who dabbled in custom pantograph work on whatever the customers brought in) is that the tool is kept in a fixed plane no matter the contour of the piece. So on something like a seatpost or stem quill you get a varying depth in the cut especially on a small diameter curved 'tube'. I remember the engraver used flat master patterns (usually brass) in his old fully-mechanical pantograph and on a piece with tight (or compound) curves there sometimes was significant distortion. Enough so that customers occasionally complained and wanted refunds or "damages" payment. He just shrugged it off.
