What sort of Sorcery is this??
Yesterday I was looking at the Steel is Real!! FB page, and saw a beautifully photographed Ciocc track bike.
My question is, how does this bike stand on its own with no visible means of support?

Some people hold it, let go, quickly move out of frame while the pic is snapped, then grab the bike before it tips over. Obviously a 2 person operation.

That's definitely totally natural to see... Small objects close to the ground will cast shadows even in dim lighting, while the shadows of larger objects further from the ground disappate. You can still see the dark areas at the base of the trees.

So no one else sees the suspiciously straight line rising out from the back of the stem? Looks like a support to me. May not have even been photoshopped.

I take back what I said about the support, that's a signpost or something.
Photoshop. The telltale slightly blurred area where the clone tool was used is visible under the BB if you zoom in.

I am old school. No photoshop or tricks with the computor. I use a sheet of glass placed under the left pedal.
Can be seen in this picture (right lower corner) as a blurr.
Disappear when further out from the bike.

Given the similarity of the road and bicycle posing, I'm guessing this bike on eBay is from the same guy who had the bike in the original post. Note the same fence line in the left of the picture. Also, this seller and the original FB poster are both in the Netherlands.
The original picture was taken on cloudy day, but you can still see some shadowing. Here, obviously a sunny day. If there was any photoshopping, it was to remove whatever is supporting the bikes.
