Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

4.5 hours of yard work over the weekend. Today after my ride I cut back my daisy's. Tomorrow, I cut the back lawn.

I still have azaleas to cut back, then gardenias and 40 feet of ground hugging junipers. I also have to trim 3 knockout rose bushes. It never ends. SMFH.
I already told my wife the next house is going to require minimal maintenance. I have to trim the shrubbery up front 3 times a year! Just writing it down tires me out.

Just do what I do. let it grow until the postal service says we are going to hold your mail until you trim your hedge. #notagardener

I also pay all the bills, reconcile the check book, take care of all auto maintenance appointments, walk and feed the dog, share in laundry and grocery shopping duties as well as cooking. I also work 45 - 50 hours a week and sometimes more. It makes me wonder how I find time to ride and stop by here to post high quality content. I haven't been on a decent vacation since 2005. That's why I'm retiring in 3-4 years. I started working after school in 6th grade. I pumped gas for my old man's gas station during the 1973 oil embargo. I've seen a lot of crap in my life. What the hell can i do about it now anyways?
Rant over.

Shock of the NBA playoffs so far, Heat over the Bucks in 5. Lakers are worrying me, though.

clarification: I am not complaining about the Mrs., she doesn't have the time to help much she works 55+ hours/Week! She can't do much outside because she will burn up with her fair complexion. To top it off, I was the fool who planted the roses, azaleas, gardenias and daisy's. What was I thinking?

Just finished all available episodes of Away. I got more emotional than it seems like I should at times.

Fingers crossed for a season 2!!!!

One of my local friends went on a ride this morning at 4:30AM. That’s dedication. Even when I am awake at that hour, I am not motivated to ride until daybreak.

Speaking of which, time to ride.
