I've been wanting to pick up the VO 50.4 bcd crank set for a while for my '79 Trek TX 900. That crank would look good on that old bike and give me decent climbing gears even when running campy NR derailleurs.

VO garage sale is postponed due to public safety. I have no problem with the decision because I have been there and the place is packed with people. VO is doing to protect their employees and us.

I was running a stronglight 99 with 47/32 rings and a 12-30 7 speed freewheel. The gear ratios were excellent; I built it to do some really hilly rides. I robbed the cyclone derailleurs to build up a 70s Fuji Finest and I robbed the crank for a Libertas I am rebuilding. I picked up a 12-28 7 speed freewheel and I'm thinking of running a 46/30 crank with that. A campy NR rear could handle that if I get a set of long cages from Soma.

Thanks for the notification. It's already been picked over pretty thoroughly; not a whole lot left. Ya snooze, ya lose, I guess.

Just like the in-person versions. Gotta get there early.

I managed to grab a Mini-Rando bag before they were sold out. They say they may add more items, so keep an eye out.

Last year they had lots of odds & ends, incomplete fender kits, customer returns, and such (but you could pick through and examine things). This year it looks to be mostly overstock. But then there is the 20% off deal.

I availed myself of a few sale items. Gotta keep our friends going. VO has been good to me, I recently borked a BB cup and they sent me a new one gratis that might otherwise have been in the garage sale.

I just got the email from VO today - and all the good stuff was gone by the time I logged in.

Snooze/lose indeed. That's Ok, I should start messing with the stuff I have on hand; it's enough.

Yeah, they raised their prices on a couple things too, since the first day. Kinda making me hesitant on the rest of an order I put together. Like maybe I should hold to what I said in that "stopping your spending" thread and just not get anything at this point.

By the time I saw the email, granted I'm in a later time zone, there was almost nothing left. only 1 page of 9(?) items had things that weren't "sold out."

Like, not a chance. Oh well.

They said they will be adding more items as they find them. So depending upon what you were looking for, you might still have a chance. They also had a 20% off sale going on I think.

It was picked over, but I still grabbed a set of 700x45 fenders that were 40% off (still available) and some fender hardware for a set I found at the co-op that is now 20% off with the code. I usually restrain myself until I have enough "needs" to hit the $150 free shipping mark, but I couldn't resist this time.
