That looks like their lugged seatpost. I've got that post on my Mooney. It's gorgeous, very well made, very well thought out and a joy to install and adjust. (And a very healthy setback; my reason for the purchase.) The post might outlive the Mooney. (I won't live long enough to see either die of natural causes.)

The mega ultra stem. The lugs are way cool, but somehow it's the centered "fin" on the top of the bar clamp section that just kills me. And you do have more horizontally upward adjustability than most stems.

Is the 87.5mm an actual measurement you took, or are you extrapolating from the (0.875) stamped on the stem? Because the (0.875) stamped in the stem is telling us that the 22.2mm diameter is 0.875 inches. It's not connected to the extension length.

This stem is made in 90/100/110/120mm extensions, and I'm thinking by the looks of this it's a 90mm? Which is very close to 87.5mm, so that might have been what you measured, and the 0.875 engraving might just be a cowinky-dink.

I try not to overthink this stuff, but there are things my brain forces me to do..........

You are correct, The 22.2 in front confirms 0.875

Oh, sorry, "cowinky-dinky" is dumb old man humor for "coincidence." Can't remember where it came from, either some stupid cartoon or some stupid tv show that burrowed into my brain back when I was a yout. Sometimes shortened to cowinky-dink. Or maybe that last "y" isn't supposed to be there, and I just stuck it in. Hmmm....

you are absolutely correct.

90mm c-c

I had assumed that the 875 was an actual spec measurement for a nominal 90mm stem, so went with that (incorrectly).

Post has been corrected. Thanks for that!
