Moots YBB referb.
Just got my 1998 Moots YBB back from having it modified by Dean. It’s all nice and titaniumy. First what it looked like before:
I forgot to take pictures before I sent it up for modification.
With new decals and some new frame fittings. I got the stem, seatpost and handlebars refinished too.
Build will follow.

I wanted a Moots YBB badly. Alas, I was on more of a KHS budget, so I bought one of their steel softails.

I got this one as a second hand frame in 2008 for about $1000 from Fleabay. I haven’t seen one that cheap in a very long time, however. There’s one over there now that’s $2100 for a complete bike.

Building it up.
The hardest part was getting the damned grips on. They are ESI Extra Chunky and they are a bugger to get in place.

Looks good. At first I thought they really did something different to the refinish because it looks so dark in the snow. Where in Boulder did you get it? I flew to Boulder to get fit for mine.

Moots wants more for adding the braze-ons. I’ve had Dean do work on a Dean mountain bike before and I liked their work. Additionally, while both are in Colorado, Dean is much closer.
