Any experience with Muc-Off matt finish detailer?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any experience with Muc-Off matt finish detailer?

Title says it all. I'm looking for a detailer for my matt black bike and came across the Muc-Off matt finish detailer product. Before dropping the cake on a bottle of the stuff, I thought I'd see if anyone on the forums has experience with the product. Alternatively, if you have a favourite detailer for matt bikes I'm open to hearing about that too. Thx.

I have matte bronze/black wheels on my QX80 and my Storck was matte black. I've been using Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer for years. It doesn't take much; cleans and protects the matte finishes for a good amount of time.

Never used it, but I watched a GCN video about it and it did a great job. Of course, they're paid to advertise Muc-Off and Park Tool, but it still looked great and it does offer a layer of protection.

Won't cost much to try

I use this as well and it works fine. Harley-Davidson (don't laugh) makes a Denim Paint Cleaner (that's what they call matte) that also works very well too and it's not expensive.

I use their MO94 spray on my matte black frame after washing my bike, works a treat! Might try the detailer spray once I run out, but for now I use MO94 because that's what I got.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I've ordered the matt finish detailer and will report back how it works.

I use the White Lightning Matte Finisher on my navy blue bike and have been happy with it. Will be watching for your Muc-Off report.

I have run through a few matte finish variants in the shop including the Muc Off. My current favorite is the aerosol White Lightning. Works really, really well.

I use the Muc Off matt finish detailer on the matt finish of my Bianchi and it works as advertised. No issues...

Good to know about the White Lightening detailer. My LBS had that in stock, but I opted to give the Muc Off one a go. The White Lightening one was cheaper, so that might have been the better way to go...

The Muc Off has worked great on my matte Teammachine with the one caveat that the sprayer top kind of sucks. I noticed new bottles have a different sprayer so they must have gotten a lot of complaints about it.

So after experiencing a flat and having sealant go all over my bike, I knew my bike needed a wash. And I didn't want to wait for the Muc-Off product. After reading the good reviews about the White Lightening matte detailer I broke down and bought it. After one use I am happy with the White Lightening. I still want to give the Muc-Off a go though. Perhaps when the White Lightening is done. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I ordered the Muc Matt finish as it was on offer and can say i can't notice any difference! I preferred the finish of the MO94!
