Alternatives to Specialized Sirrus Pro Carbon?
Seriously thinking about taking the plunge and ordering one ...
... But before I do, are there any other brands I should consider that would be comparable?
My two basic requirements - carbon frame, disc brakes.

Assuming you mean in the U.S.? If so, then the only thing that jumps to mind is:
FastRoad CoMax 1 (2016) | Giant Bicycles | United States

Yes, U.S. - actually that looks pretty nice for $1000 less. Going to do some research on it. Thanks.

Welcome! Giant is always worth looking at; my main bike is a Sirrus, but I'm a big fan of Giant (my other bike is a Giant mtb -- ten years old and still going strong). Giant's composite technology is second to none -- seriously -- and their buying power does mean that you typically get an awful lot of bike for the money.

for the same money as the sirrus? NO contest here. The specialized is way more bike. The giant is less bike but also a lot cheaper. If$ 2800.00 was within my budget I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Sirrus. Not seeing anything that compares.

You might want to look at my thread on the CoMax 1.https://www.bikeforums.net/hybrid-bic...wneastter.html I bought two last month one for my wife and one for me. I love the design and the ride. We have put over a thousand miles on them so far and all is well. I did upgrade the crank set to full 105 and added Ergon GP3 grips. Currently touring the Fl Keys. In the last 3 years I have purchased 6 Giant high end hybrids 2013 Escape RX 0, 2014 Escape RX Composites and now the 2016 CoMaxs. You will not find a better buy for the $$ IMHO.

Thanks all for the input. I was kinda tempted to try the Giant because of the price and bonus pts at Performance, and the Cannondale looks ok, Whyte isn't a U.S. Brand at this time apparently .. But all in all gonna order the Sirrus today. I think it looks like the best overall package of components and technology for the $.
