Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

COLNAGO frame HELP

Hi, I have a lovely carbon schils bike that I got custom made over summer. The bike shop mentioned it was a recently new lugged colnago frame. But I am struggling to identify what model the colnago frame is. It is a lugged carbon frame, with curved seat stays.

I would attach a photo, but this has restricted me? can someone help me including a photo.

Bikes: Why list them on a non-cycling website!

If it is a new Colnago frame it should have the model shown on the frame. Is the frame custom built for you, or the component group?
I believe their C50, C60 frames are lugged similar to the new C64.

hi there, thanks for the reply,

it had carbon lugs like the one you attached, but they aren’t shaped. I’ll try attach a photo.

it’s custom to me, and I chose the groupset and everything

You have to ask a mod to help with pic or wait until 10 posts.

I am curious to see it. I have a round carbon tubed Colnago, but it is a vintage "Carbitubo" model and uses alloy lugs at the conjunctions. What is your bike being built for; general road racing, time trial, etc.?

I am really not that familiar with the newer carbon frames (monocoque, lugged, combination thereof) being that I ride 30-50 year old steel frames, even the "Carbitubo" is 30 years old.

Take a look around, say hi, make some comments; and you will have 10 posts in no time. I do think you are limited to 5 per day.

There is nothing Colnago about that bike, not that it isn't a nice bike.

Custom Bikes

you had a frame custom made a few months ago, the brand is on the downtube, but you were confused and thought it was another brand?
...maybe the shop meant your frame was made by the same company that makes some Colagno frames?

@Sowman, cool bike, of course orange is my favorite color, black my second favorite color. I can see someone saying it has "Colnago-like" construction given the lugged appearance. Enjoy the ride!
