Nice looking frame under all that flaking chromovelato (is there any other kind of chromovelato?). But should be priced under $200 IMO.
https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bo...039928209.html
I have for sale a 58cm Biemmezeta Cronostar racing bicycle frame. The frame measures 58cm c-c at the seat tube (59cm c-t) and a top tube of 57+cm c-c (measurements are made from the intersections of the centerlines of the tubes).
The frame is constructed of Columbus SL steel alloy tubing. It is fully chromed with a transparent reddish orange coating over most of the frame. The coating is in fair to poor condition, with a fair amount having flaked off and more ready to do so. The decals also need a bit to be desired. The aero style seatstays, chainstays, top mount shifters, internally routed cables, and would be aero sloping fork crown and blades make for an attractive frameset.
With steep head tube and seat tube angles, chainstays that measure 15 1/4" to 15 1/2" (38.7cm to 39.4cm), and an indented seat tube giving a short wheelbase of 37 3/4" (96cm), this frame is well suited to short, tight courses of criterium racing. As seen in the specs (included) it should have a fork with 1 5/8" or 41.275mm rake. Typical fork rakes are 43mm and 40mm, and I would favor a 40mm rake.
All in all I consider this to be an excellent candidate to restore (they're making awesome transparent powder coat these days) or race it as-is. Expect the handling of this frame to be quick and responsive, climbing and sprinting well. Overall, a great example of the ride a steel frame gives.
STEEL IS REAL
$325.00

I am a big fan of BMZ frames and that bike is my size. Without a fork, that price seems very aggressive though. I would like to get one of those aero frames. Too bad it didn't have the original fork.

There has been a Ciocc in Massachusetts or New Hampshire for about 2 years now at the same local pickup only price of $450. If I were closer, I would have been on that, but it's interesting that the price is still the same as when I first saw it.

It's likely a 'convince me to sell' price. I'm sure we all have bikes we like too much to sell, except at the right price you'd be a fool not to accept.

You really screw yourself when you run an auction with a reserve multiple times in a row and bidders can't hit or get close to the reserve in any attempt, it's the fastest way to drive off your dedicated watchers and usher in a flock of people you probably don't want buying your stuff in my personal experience. It's at that point, with multiple failed reserve-locked listings, I think it's fair to realize your "barn find" doesn't have as much value as you think it does (it's gorgeous, don't get me wrong!! maybe poorly listed). Ha! I have a friend with 100+ bikes. He has had the same few for sale on Craigslist on and off for years at the same price, same pics. I think he just want's to be able to tell his wife he's trying.

And on the topic of CDales, two in really great shape. Smaller ST has a bit of damage to the rear NDS DO, maybe the nick in the tube is a concern?
Near-mint SR500 that's really dang tall (63) in Bloomington IN, $450 BIN price @ https://www.ebay.com/itm/283712853805
And an equally-mint but slightly smaller (58?) same colored ST400 for $350 BIN in Apple, WI @ https://www.ebay.com/itm/124005766743

This may be quite possibly the strangest bike I’ve ever seen. Popeye brakes, the strange downtube and seat tube thicknesses. The seat jammed absurdly far forward, the dinner plate sized front reflector, the wild rear spoke pattern, and of course the foam grips. Anyone have any idea what the heck this beauty is?
Can be yours for only $30!

^^^^^^^ Of course, Roger has one in the museum ... er... used showroom. https://budgetbicyclectr.com/huffy-a...d-bicycle.html . It's the price of the above CL-listed one, SQUARED.
OMG - found this in the "Details" section of the Budget Bike listing:
Same author once reviewed Pabst Blue Ribbon, comparing it to New Glarus Spotted Cow.....

Features Shimano Adamas AX components this aerodynamic group set was designed to reduce the all around aerodynamic friction of your bike (although not quite as effectively as their nicer Dura-Ace and 600 AX groups).

An awfully nice Le Tour on Chicago CL. Disclaimer: While I've no interest in this bike, I met the seller (Mike, I believe) on one of iab 's spring rides two or three years ago.
