Great looking bike. I'm not a mountain bike man, but really nice. The description on that one kills me.

Hi! Just a reminder here, that in order to advertise a bike you have for sale, it is required that you have an upgraded membership. You can obtain it by clicking up above where it says "Elite membership".

Also, the advertisement must not be an auction. Sorry.

Thank you.

Small Centurion Ironman, rare yellow/white paint, looks clean, good price, $165 in San Diego. I had forgotten I set a google alert for this but just got one!
(BTW title says 52cm, text says it's 50cm, hard to tell from the photo)

This Tommasini looks to be in first rate condition and fairly priced. As it's in San Diego, I've contacted the seller and am hoping to physically check it out. If it's as nice as it seems from the listing, I'll report back to the group.

Yeah, I wonder about the build itself. The rear dropout is forged but has a claw on it. This means that either it was drewed or it is a Simplex dropout.

Is this a 300? It has a 531 frame and fork.

Rear dropout may be intact. Hard to say with that derailleur on it. They're Simplex dropouts. It's a 300, about the same vintage as mine.

Free fixie'd PX-10? They only list a phone number in the contacts section, so it's likely that this is a prank.

As promised a couple of pages ago, here's the '86 Miyata 710 (listed as a Miata) I picked up off Craigslist last weekend in AZ:

57cm triple-butted CrMo frame, CrMo fork
Cyclone derailleurs,
Sansin Gyromaster sealed hubs, Ukai 20A 700c 25mm hard anodized rims
DiaCompe GX400 brakes w/aero levers

Only departures from as-specced are seat and platform pedals.

$120 with Kryptonite U-lock.

Rear tire was flat, almost worn out anyway, so I got a new tire/tube, but then had to run back out to a bike shop since the rim strip had given up the ghost and that's what caused the flat in the first place... Now a 10mm Velox tape strip. I rode it about 25 miles on that first day, just to see how it handled. I'll probably replace the front rim strip, tire and tube - just because - when I go back out to AZ in two months... It also needs a detailed strip/clean/overhaul and new brake cables...

It will also get a set of SunTour Barcons. I just couldn't get used to downtube shifting since all of my other road bikes also have SunTour barcons.

I was amazed how rough the pavement is out there, and want the barcons so I can keep both hands on the bars at all times. I suppose the asphalt tar binder just goes away in the summer heat, leaving the larger stones semi-exposed. I'm glad I decided to 'go large' on the new rear tire (28mm). How the previous owner got away with a 22mm front tire and 25mm rear tire is a wonder...

This one is near me, but I don't really need to spend the money right now. Maybe somebody will remove the temptation. I'm not a Cannondale expert, but it seems like a good price.

If anyone is seriously interested in this bike, I'm checking it out later today - Even though it's my size, I have no personal use for it, as I already own a nearly identical frame (except mine's red, and built up with Super Record) Tommasini, and I also just bought the De Rosa. I know the seller is willing to do a direct deal for something with a first digit of 8, and he has a prospective European buyer for the frame, but he doesn't want to part it out and ship it internationally.

FYI, I checked out this bike this afternoon. It's in the condition it appears to be in the ebay listing - very nice, not pristine mint, but clearly well maintained, with no significant blemishes to the paint, no dents, no rust. I should also note that while the bike in the listing has tubular wheels and tires, the seller also has a comparable set of clincher wheels (Campy Record hubs, Campy Omega Rims with some visible wear on the breaking surfaces, Conti Gatorskins) which he'd swap out with the tubular wheels if a buyer preferred clinchers, at the same cost. And while he swapped out the Athena shifters for SunTour downtube friction shifters, he still has the original Athena shifters, which he'll include in the sale. I would also comment that it's my considered opinion this bike is definitely a notably better deal than the three other Italian bikes in SoCal that Bikerider007 posted about the other day in the What's it Worth forum - although it's also a couple of CM smaller frame, so it's probably going to fit a slightly smaller person than those would.
