Original RABENEICK German Vintage Road Cruiser. Brook's Saddle Sach & Huret 5spd

A sort of interesting bike but pricey, in cases like this, I guess one pays for the uniqueness of the bicycle.

I have a Basso but the finish on that listing looks unlike the factory. Paint is way thick. And the tt internal guide....???

I'm skeptical about a lot of the claims made in the novara ad; I'll bet that was just a plain vanilla mtb/hybrid back in the day:

The one from your link looks a lot newer though still not quite new enough for V brakes. I'd guess they're most of a decade apart. Novara reuses model names. My mom and sister had 26er Aspens and I had a 26er Arriba, but there are 700c versions of the former and 24" versions of the latter

Edit: here's a BF thread about the older version

The lugged MTB in the ad is MUCH nicer than the TIG'd rig in that bike rainbow link.

REI had some pretty nice TIG'd mtbs later on. I had a Purple Aspen that was a very nice ride.

Actually that rootbeer brown X-R is kinda growing on me. Even if it's straight gauge cromo, I bet it's a nice ride!

In fact, this one; https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/bik/5384121270.html

Motobecane has all of the models we know of but they had a few other makes that are not common to see and I wonder to about the grips these bikes use. It is a bit on the expensive side, true.

Okay, it's the Hutchinson grips (rubberized fake leather) for upright handlebars.

Spanish bikes?

Torrot-Road

Honestly, if one wants the exotic, this Spanish frame claims to be 531, I don't see a sticker, I did read a previous Torrot thread, it's Spanish, not a bad price really though the thread I read said these were largely mid-level bicycles. They are not asking for a lot.

Rare Spanish Road Bike A Titan bicycle.

Unless someone told me this is a real nice bicycle, I wouldn't give great consideration to it.

Edit on, I think I'm seeing where these BH bicycles may come from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beistegui_Hermanos I will just post that, there may be more.

1989 MIELE Latina, 56cm, Campagnolo, Columbus SL, restored, MINT!

[h=2]1989 MIELE Latina, 56cm, Campagnolo, Columbus SL, restored, MINT! - $580 (Round Lake Beach, IL)[/h]

This is a rare and beautiful 1989 Miele Latina Road Issue competition racing bike in near mint condition. This bike was Miele's top-of-the-line "Italian" model equipped with Campagnolo's Athena group set and Columbus SL tubing for the frame. The bike is equipped with the very best components - Cinelli handlebars, Selle Italia suede leather saddle, Araya World Champion Hard Anodized tubular wheels. Completely hand assembled in Canada, this fully lugged frame is truly a work of art with many intricate details unseen on a common production bike.

The bike was just professionally restored and overhauled. Brand new Panasonic Panaracer tubular tires, all new cables and housings, new chain and perforated vegan leather handlebar tape. Fine tuned and lubed to run beautifully as it looks. The original paint is beautifully lustrous and the colors are probably as bright as it was on day one. There are some very minor paint chips, the chrome is pitted in some sections of the fork. Oedals are not shown in the pics, but will include a set of Wellgo alloy pedals. The bike is super lightweight and rigid. Rides wonderfully, it's super fast, stops on a dime and handles like a dream. Ready to display in your collection or take out on a nice long ride. The frame measures 56cm (from the center of the crank to the top of the seat tube). The top tube measures 54.5cm (center to center) and is 31.75" from the ground, so it would be perfect for most people 5'7" to 5'11" in height.

I can deliver the bike to the Round Lake Metra stop if you wish to take the Train. I can also meet in the O'Hare/Des Plaines areas as well on some weeknights. A great deal at $580 cash. Happy cycling!

Looks like someone used a paintbrush on this bike. The RUBBER top tube cable housing guides are definitely painted over.

Counterfeit bicycle perhaps?

Cheers

Yes, he definitely is. When I lived in Chicago he'd at least have 1 new bike posted on Craigslist every single week, and for extremely reasonable prices,
