Free to a good home - Woodrup frame -damaged

I screwed up trying to remove the seat post from this and now the seat post tube needs to be replaced. Pay for shipping, or free pickup.
Will include fork that isn't damage other than some paint missing.

Mid 80's. I believe it is 53cm square.

That's a bummer. I don't need any of it but if you could send me pics of the damage, perhaps could determine how to approach the repair and do it for you.

You can see the two lines from a screwdriver in this picture.

What would shipping be? I'd be interested in it.

Could have lots of other issues but from what only I can see ~

If the post hasn't been removed yet, game plan...
Saw top half of post. Then multiple vertical slits in the seat posts. Carefully chip the remain out.

Frame seat tube. Skillfully work it back to shape with an adjustable pipe expander.

Anyways, I think you already have an anxious fellow above. Please don't let my reply get in the way. Cheer's

I don't ship often enough to have a good feel. I would try to find the smallest box. I would guess FedEx would be around $40.

Thanks crank_addict. I have too many projects and as nice as it would be to have this up and running. Getting rid of it will free up time to work on some other projects.

Really?? I have trouble getting rims out for less than $26 because of the oversize fee. I forget what it is, but it is like wow? Unless you are suggesting I cut it up before I ship it.

Looks like it is taken, I will be back to Soar as soon as I find the fork. And a box I can cut down.

I shipped a Circuit frame and fork for $16 insured with the post office a few weeks ago. I got a small box from the LBS, turned the fork around to make it fit, and off it went.

Good for you. I swear I don't get PO pricing. I find it is partially dependent on who is taking your box. I have shipped rims for $12-14 dollars when the clerk doesn't measure, but if I get the supervisor out comes the tape measure and I forget if the surcharge is $10 or $12 but I end up eating a lot of cost unless I get into shopping around for a clerk which I really don't have time for.

And I shipped a flash drive to my parents recently in non-machable mailer $2.42. .9 ounces. The week earlier I mail something else in a similar envelop. $1.14 or something like that. Might have been over an ounce too. Frustrating, but I am not a person that likes to spend time trying to figure out why this is.

I just print my own labels on line. I put the measurements in myself and the weight. Print the label and the post office picks it up off of my porch.
