I ride 50-60 miles/week and average 13.4 mph according to MapMyRide. This is mostly neighborhood and park riding with pretty tame hills.

Yeah that's about my distance but my avg is barely 10. I still do a lot of coasting. One day a week I pedal constantly for the first few miles and I'm increasing that eeekly. I am so out of shape.

It varies with the terrain and length. On Sunday's 114 mile 7250' ride, I averaged 15.2. Should have been faster, but I babysat a very tired rider up the last pass. We don't sag.

I ride about a total 185 miles a week on my weekday commute. It's virtually flat, and my average speed is probably in the order of 17-18 MPH.

Weekends are in the mountains, typically 60-100 miles and are typically square (6000-10000 feet of elevation gain). No idea as to my average speed.

Anywhere from 40 to 60 miles a day, six days a week. I don't consider average mph on my rides because the route has a 10 mile section that isn't as fast as the rest of the route so it slows you down and therefore decreasing your average mph. I rather use average riding pace which is between 18-21 on the faster section and 15-17 on the slower section. My solo rides are pretty much the same route but I usually just ride to enjoy the ride and don't really care about speed or time.

Very hot here in OK too. Supposed to get into the upper 90's today. Yesterday it was so hot I had to stop and lay down in the shade.

Very true, but there are lots of ways to keep track. I find average moving speed to be the measure I want to track. But a rural ride with few stops and turns at 19 MPH moving average can be less effort than an urban route at 17 MPH.

To each their own, but I would burn out if I didn't vary my ride lengths/destinations/rhythms substantially from day to day and week to week.

80-100 miles per week. Average speed is probably around 17 mph, but that's with a lot of stop lights. My 75% quartile speed is around 20 mph.

That would have killed me in my 40s.

This is my bread and butter ride that I'll do several times a week: https://www.strava.com/activities/1022606475

Leave the house at 6:30, drop my backpack off at the office, meet my buddy at the bike trail, we ride an out-and-back that typically takes us an hour at tempo pace, then back to the office, shower, change, at my desk at 9:00.

30-ish miles. 18-20mph avg depending on legs that day and traffic while in town. Average about 10 hours a week. 15 is a big week for me.

I ride three to six days a week, seven to twenty-five miles a day, average speed 10-12+ MPH depending on terrain and how I'm feeling that day.

Between work and everything else going on in life, I don't have a set schedule - and I like to vary the location when I can - I would get bored if I always rode the same route.

Good to hear of your accomplishments, gives me hope for myself. In my 20's and 30's I was riding 200+ a week. I overtrained and got hip bursitis which pretty much ended my career, or so I thought. After several years I've started back up and I'm taking it very slow. So far the hip is good, I hooe it stays that way, it took me years to get over that.

190 to 200 miles per week. On the gravel bike, it's usually about 18.5 mph. On the road bike, it's a little over 19.

It puts me firmly in the no-man's-land between the local racers' pace (which I can't maintain anymore on a regular basis) and the pace of the local guys my own age. Frustrating place to be.

I've only done one road race, and those guys sent me home with my tail tucked. I've raced mountain bikes a lot and was competitive in the clydesdale class. Trouble is, im not quite a clyde when I'm in racing shape. I always start the season as a clyd then get pushed to sport when I get smaller. Those sport guys are fast!

Well, you may have noticed that I didn't post my own avg, suffice it to say that if I go any slower I will fall over.

I don't think I'm quite as fast as you, but I have a similar frustration. I'm faster than most all of the people with whom I feel socially comfortable and with whom I like to spend my riding time. And the younger strong riders (many are racers) blow up my legs.

I am 62 years old. I aspire to ride 100 miles a week but this can be interrupted by weather and life. I typically ride between 12-15 but probably faster on a long open road ride. My speed seems pretty typical for other folks my age I ride with. I don't worry about getting faster but as I ride more, the feet move quicker and easier and the hills are less daunting.

I did 240 miles for the month of June, but will be lucky to get to 200 for July, partly travel, partly lack of motivation. On my commute, with a heavy bike (35 lbs when loaded), with lots of intersections, anywhere from 10-11.5 avg. On weekends, on country roads, my last couple rides were 13-14 mph, about 15 miles. No hills on the weekend rides; a few during the commute, especially on the way home.

I'm late 50's, and started with bike commuting last year, July 1st. Five years was riding 20-30 miles at a time, 3 times a week, not sure how fast. Didn't exercise much at all during the 5 year break, so I'm still getting back into shape. But then, round's a shape.

I estimate an average of 60-70 miles a week.

Average speed can be tricky because many of my rides have a lot of quite steep hills so that my speed will vary between 7mph and 30mph during a ride. Yesterday's ride was typical with very slow and very fast bits with an average of 12.5mph over the two hours.

One of these days I'll plan a nice flat ride to increase my average speed.
