Try threading the lock nut onto a fork that you know the threading.
Or perhaps you know what kind of frame from which it was removed?

I put one of those on my Mooney 1995 at around 25,000 miles. It hit 50,000 two years ago and it still feels perfect..

You should also measure the crown race while you’re at it: 26.4 or 27.0?

The original ones with needle bearings just never wore out enough on people, so they did not get to sell enough for replacements due to wear.
The original needle bering A9 on my 1984 Peugeot PSV continues to soldier on in the bike, still as smooth and reliable as the day I bought PSV in 84.
I am so satisfied with the A9 that all my other French bikes have either either A9s or the Deltas on them.
