Feeling lazy today. Might swap the brakes and brake cables on the BMC today. Been only waiting to do this for the last 3 months.

This morning's event. I wasn't last.
There was about a mile section that was mostly single wide trail through the woods with spikey hills. It created a bit of a traffic jam, so I couldn't keep a good pace there.

I went out the back door @ mile 12 as predicted. Great workout. Surprised I lasted that long, they were hammering today (30 mph on Pascack Road). Just carrying too much excess poundage, HR gets elevated, at some point I can't recover. Been through this phase a million times. Going back in two weeks, I'll be 5 lbs lighter and last til mile 17, then 2-3 week after that maybe I can hang til the end.
I don't know how I don't go insane when I can't ride. Really. THIS is how I want to live.

The stand at Cottonwood Farm was open.
You know you live in a cool town when a sweaty dude in full kit stuffs his jersey full of corn and rides off, and no one looks twice.

I raced in New Jersey today. Shot my wad chasing/getting in 3 of 4 breaks in my first race (the forth was of course the one that stuck).
Did a second race as a bit of a dejected passenger (sat in), but was close enough at the end to see @gsteinb sprint for the win.

Fifth overall at this morning's Oly. Tired. Actually glad to have a couple of weekends off from racing. Speed sensor wasn't quite aligned this time, so the Garmin has horribly low speed showing. Is there any way to make it use GPS instead of wheel speed?

45miles with the House of Pain ride this morning. Local pro Kirk Carlsen shows up again, ensuring yours truly is dropped 10miles in. Managed to shortcut and catch the "B" ride on the climb on the back side of the route. Enough suffering to keep the self-loathing at bay.
