2011 BMC Roadracer SL01 with a Streampost 73.5 seapost moving: is it normal?
I recently noticed the seatpost (streampost type) on my Roadracer has some back and forth play. Any other Roadracer owners noticed this?
Is it normal?

Just cut a piece of phone screen protector and put it to the back of the post. This will solve the movement and the creaking issue.

Thanks, uncrx!
So it is a known issue? For the record I have no creaking.

It's been a known issue with that year model. They have changed it since then. They did recommend the above method though. I did the same thing when I had that bike and it worked fine then. I just bought one of those Ipad screen protector and cut into size as needed.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say I solved my slipping Streampost using the iPhone screen protector method.
On another note, I need a longer Streampost, I heard they came in 400mm, but I haven't been able to find one anywhere, even eBay. Let me know if anyone has one to sell, or knows where to get one.
Thanks!
