Greetings from Omaha

I'm new to BikeForums, but am a RAGBRAI vet. My current bike is a ~1980 vintage Trek and I'm looking to update my ride. Am pondering the pros and cons of buying a bike off the rack vs. buying a frame and building myself. Has anyone heard of Independent Fabrications, and do they have any opinions about their frames? Thanks, and I look forward to yoru input.

Hi pfp56, there are a lot of IF fans here. I don't think I've ever heard anything bad about them, actually.

You might try asking in the Road cycling forum...
