Disc Road caliper plus canti-lever lever?

Since road disc brakes are designed for use with road levers and road levers work well with cantilever brakes, what kind of performance could one expect to get by using a cantilever brake lever with a road specific caliper... I know I know.. most people have to opposite problem. But I need to but another set of brake calipers and it makes more sense for me to upgrade to a lighter road caliper on my fancier ride and swap the old BB7 roads over to the winter bike.

Thoughts?

Road disc calipers work better with canti brake levers than they do with drop bar road caliper levers or lever/shifters.

It will actually be an upgrade.

Road lever pull = cantilever pull. You'll be fine.
