Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We're going to yell at you.

I recently learned that the Beastie Boys are credited with the first use of the term mullet to refer to a hair style. What is odd is it wasn't until 1994 with the song mullet head. I have no idea what we called this hair style in the 80's

It was just hair back then. Those were the days...

I never was cool enough to rock that hairdo, or the rat tail that was a variation on it. I did once have lines cut into my hair (above my ears) which was very cool. My grandfather who took me to get that haircut told me that the barber really nicked me on the side.

I never had a mullet or a tail. Another odd hair cut from that period was where guys would get a perm in the back lower 1/2. Another style I didn't have

I feathered my hair back in the 80's, but no mullet. I was a Izod/Polo wearing "preppie".

Happy 10th birthday to the thread!

And before anyone gets uppity and starts yelling at me it is 8:03 AM on the 1st Jun 2016 here. Yes, that's right, I live in the future. Ask me about the winning lottery numbers.

Is a ten year old thread the longest one with a large page count?

I'm only at nine years I think.
