Seeking the light(s)

I'm going to be building 3 dynamo wheels soon and I'm looking to round up some lights. We'll need fairly bright, 60+ lux, with a preference toward Busch & Muller or Schmidt. If anyone has anything similar on the shelf they're willing to part with, let's make a deal. Thanks!

Andy

I have nothing to sell.

Just commenting that I recently bought another IQ-XS, Bike24 had the best price that I saw. Shipping cost for the first item is a bit steep, but after that hurdle, additional items are worth it.

How long did shipping take? Last time I had something delivered from France to the USA it took a loooooog time and the box was mangled. Goods were ok, thankfully.

During early stages of Covid, shipping was erratic from Europe, a lot of stuff is shipped on passenger aircraft and they were not flying. I ordered something from Eurupe a year ago, took maybe a month and a half or two, that was after I asked the company to trace the package. But, my recent order from Bike24 that I cited in my previous post, shipped Jan 21, arrived here on Feb 1. I usually assume two weeks from Europe. Often my boxes from Europe are beat up, but only once did a package arrive with so many holes in it that stuff was missing in the box, in that case I sent a photo of the box that had a lot of tape on it that said it was re-packaged or something like that, that shipment with missing stuff was from UK, not Germany.

I bought my Rohloff hub from Bike24 several years ago, that box was really beat up because it was small and heavy, but nothing damaged.

I am not sure on this, but I think every order I placed with Bike24 was shipped by DHL, but my most recent one was delivered by US Postal Service. I think I have ordered from Bike24 on five or six occasions, first order was my Rohloff hub in 2013.

Very helpful, thanks Tourist in MSN. The insistence I cited was in the spring/summer, a set of lights from xxcycle. Transit was slow and then it apparently sat in customs for some time, the tracking still had in there after it was delivered! Thanks for the tip, the prices are good even though availability varies.

You are welcome. I am in process of building up another dyno system. The SP hub, the IQ-XS headlight and taillight were all in my recent Bike 24 order. These days most of my bike stuff comes from Europe, but a lot of what I buy is not sold in local bike shops.
