Hi from Dublin
Hi folks,
I'm John, 35 (edit: damn just realized I'm 38, jeez that happened fast), I'm Irish and based in Dublin.
Amateur road bike enthusiast. Quickly becoming addicted to getting as far and as high as I can on two wheels.
Currently riding a TREK Domane AL2, Sora groupset.
Current goal is 80-100 miles a week. Seriously considering selling my car! Upgrading bike in 2018. Love the look of Cinelli, Rondu and Orro bikes. Prone to a bit of fixie action whenever I can. Had a Claude Butler Courier which passed away recently... seat post broke and cannot be fixed
After less than 12 months on a road bike I'm looking at my next jump. I live in Dublin so my adventures happen up mountains and across a city center taken over by cars which lacks decent cycle infra.
Love to get my hands dirty and DIY repairs.
Looking for advice on components, repairs, where to buy, how to ride and how to not ride.
Nice to be here
Look forward to contributing.
John

Welcome, you've come to the right place. We've got a mechanics forum and a Road section to peruse as well as a general section and just about everything else.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Welcome. When I turned 50 yo, I couldn’t say my age without stuttering. You’re not alone. Doing the Mechanics on bikes just makes the whole cycling experience more fun.

Welcome. I badly wanted to do some cycling when I spent some time in Dublin. I couldn't resist going to the pubs.
I was able to cycle for an afternoon on one of the Aran Islands.
