Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My third Trek, purchased last week, that is replacing my nearly 15 year old Trek 5200. With it, I become a member of the official "most boring looking bike ever produced" club, or the "Henry Ford any color as long as it's black" club. It's almost as though Trek doesn't want anyone buying the Doman 5.2 with the crazy boring color choices of black or white.

Being well below freezing, snowing, and gloomy right now, I don't have any opportunities for cool photos or even to ride my new bike

Flashy they are not, comfortable and enjoyed by many they are! I feel your pain all but one of my last 6 rides have been on the trainer and since I have no discipline I've gained the same number in pounds

My first and only road bike, a 2011 Trek 2.1; that's a trainer tire on the rear wheel.

Liking the 560! I have the same Salsa stem on an old DeRosa that I gave to a friend. But can you reach the brakes from those drops?

Thanks! Yeah the stem is about 1cm too long and finding an appropriate replacement stem has been basically impossible. That's why the brifters are just a touch high. But nevertheless I have no problem reaching them in the drops, what little time I spend there

Very nice. A long time ago I used to sell Terry bikes, she was one of the first to design race bikes specifically for (small) women. Unique for the time in that smaller bikes would have a 700c rear wheel and a smaller front to avoid toe overlap. Beautiful bikes but hard to sell and maybe a little ahead of their time! My wife rides a 2005 Trek 1100 WSD, bike is a piece of drek but the fit is nice

Just ordered a Project One Domane 6 through my LBS (Breakaway Cycling in Delaware, OH). Groupset is SRAM Force 22. Here's the generated picture from the Project One webpage:

Nice bikes!

I also have a 2013 Madone 4.5, it is a great bike. I purchased it in March and have put just under 6000 miles on it.

Big fan of the older Treks. Just sold my 1400 and sometimes regret it.
