I would say for me there's been two, mainly these, although some others get attention but these two by far
1. 1992 Klein Pinnacle in Backfire paint scheme
2. 1987 Centurion Ironman Expert

This one. 1969 Raleigh Pro Mark 1, white "one year only" model. Far better than new repaint from CycleArt.
Another Washington collector of some note has a "Geoffrey Butler" that is almost identical to this bike.

Had to take this one on the group ride for a few weeks
I think most people were surprised I was able to keep up! You don't see many old bikes around here, not least on fast paceline rides.

Definitely my ANT. I'm pretty sure most people think it's a lot older than it is

The thread started in 2013, brought back to live in 2019 which normally drives me crazy. Yet, this one was one of the more enjoyable threads to peruse on a early Easter Monday morning. First time seeing this thread and loved the bikes people posted. So to everyone who posted a big thank you. Keep them coming.

My wife's Stumpjumper for sure.
After that, folks ask about her MAP, my Weigle and my McLeans.
For new bikes, people ask about my Salsa Blackborow and Yeti SB5.

There are two categories of admirers. One is the general public that either doesn't ride or rides infrequently. The always pick the one of the two that I happen to be riding at the time. All folding bikes generally get attention to this group as does a tandem.
Nothing really special about this folder except that it is a folder.

This probably gets attention due to the lack of paint but primarily due to it seating two people. Oh, which is the drive side?

Of the handful of bikes I ride, the Pinarello Montello is the most commented on by the second group who are bike knowledgeable. It puzzles me as the Patina is strong in this one. I would not expect any comments at all! A guy in a SUB mergining onto 395 by the Jefferson Memorial slowed traffic down rolling his window down and shouting " Beautiful BIke!" I guess he was far enough away! Also have received good comments from bike shop managers about wanting it. Or is could be that this is the one I ride the most.

I have also received nice comments on the Bottecchia (dressed up in the Professional attire).
1972 Bottecchia Giro D'Italia (Professional conversion) , on Flickr
The one I admire the most is the most recent, De Rosa Professional. For a couple of reasons, the first is the Ferrari red, second is the flawless performance of the drive train and brakes. It look good to me too.

In summary, it probably doesn't matter which C&V bike you are riding, it is likely to get positive comments. The ones you appreciate the most will indicate to you what and who you value.

These are not my bikes but I saw the first 2 on an organized ride a few years ago.
I don’t know what he did at red lights.
He told me he designed it.
I’m sure he attracted lots of attention! He caught mine!
A guy I ride with occasionally brings one of his 3 recumbents to our group rides. He always attracts attention.
