Carbon frame?
Friend bought a kid cart and hooked it up to a carbon fiber frame.Do you guys see a problem coming?

You mean a bugger? Those are usually mounted to the axle, not the frame.

Where I ride, I see a lot of kid carts attached to CF bikes, especially on weekends. I keep seeing the same ones out there so I'm assuming no one is having a problem with it. And as mentioned, they attach to the rear axle and not the frame.

I have an old Burley from 1993. These early Burley trailers mounted with a clamping wedge device between the left chain stay and seat stay. Very suitable for steel, aluminum, and carbon frames of the time. Today's carbon is too thin for this hitch mount and certainly not a good idea. My wife still rides the Miyata Sky Runner Carbo-lite frame. Tough as a farm implement!

Depends on the clamping mechanism. You don't want any metal in contact with the carbon and you don't want to exceed compression tolerance. I wouldn't clamp anything to one of my CF bikes.
