i'm about to do this to a set of sylvan lites.
question: once they're in, is it difficult to get out? i don't need it to be easy, just doable every few months.
fyi, this doesn't work with the black ones (unless you somehow file off some of the powdercoat).

The only hard part about doing it on mine was hitting the nickel just right to get it to seat in the peddle.
But all in all I was done in 10-15 minutes all said and done.

i feel like a dumbass, i almost cut my finger off when my knife blade slipped while taking the dustcaps off. then i used a eyeglass screwdriver and it came out super easy. my dust caps were all chewed up so it wasn't too easy to get them out but everything else was cake. it looks awesome.

i'm pretty sure these nickels are never ever coming out ever.
i'll post a howto on drilling a hole through nickels without fuc%ing up yr pedals in six months or so.

shouldnt be hard, there is about a 3/4th inch gap between the coin and the bolt that holds the pedal onto its axel.

I did this as well, I used 84 and 87. My wife and I were born in 84, My brother and brother in-law were born in 87.
