Absolutely yes for the padded liner, in fact the directions say to smear it on the chamois or gel pads for better effect. I applied directly on my chaffed bottom, it has a mint sensation cools down immediately and then when you ride there is absolutely no friction whatsoever, my chafing is almost all gone now. Rode 43 miles today, no pain at all. By commando, I mean no boxers, briefs or boxer briefs whatsoever.

The stuff works, read the reviews on amazon and the questions, lots of info there. I was surprised.

Yep, chafing is a thing of the past with this stuff. And ya gotta love the name. I ran out of this and stopped at a different bike store to get more. They didn't carry this one, but the one they did have (which isn't as good as Butt'r) was called "Button Hole." Ya gotta think about that name a little to figure that out (hint: it's where ya put the stuff).

Rain, actual rain. In Southern California? Inconceivable! Followed by wind. So I didn't get out until tonight, and then just to run an errand. So how did I spend my day? Shopping for and acquiring this:

A friend has been pestering me to get a mountain bike, and today I succumbed and picked up this Stumpjumper Comp.. It was used but in fine shape, and the 4 miles I did tonight were on this bike, even though I don't have the shoes or cleats for it yet. A completely different experience for me, having very little experience with any MTB, and none at all on a full suspension one. Suspension is kinda comfy, though. Speed, not so much. Looking forward to trying it on some dirt..

My new ride, TREK Checkpoint ALR5, and wow, I have never felt so much a part of a bicycle as I do with this one, its amazing!!! I had put an FX on layaway last early this year, and paid it off but TREK kept putting the receiving date back and back, was hoping to get the new bike as a gift for my 65th birthday so when I saw this one in their showroom I paid the difference and took it home. Put some tubeless tires on it and wow, this ride, performance, power, and just sexy good looks have me very very happy!!! Todays 42 miles were put on it!!
