That bike has too much character to ever sell.
I sold a couple of bikes for the first time in my life just this year. They were bikes I inherited when my brother passed. It was tough selling those, even though I had little emotional investment in them. the only thing that made it easier was I sold the first one to a buddy who rides it daily. Somehow made it better to know it was going to a good home, LOL.
Prior to this year the only bikes I ever parted with were stolen.
I still remember the day I parted with the kid trailer. Man, that was tough. Lots of good memories with that from when my kids were little.

Don't sell it, you will regret it. I have only sold 2 bikes that I have had a relationship with, a Gitane Tandem and a Schwinn Paramount. I regret selling them.
My current ride has been my main ride for 50 years, we will never part ways. Even if I get another ride, I will never part with my current one. We have been through a lot together. Double centuries, countless centuries, ridden in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Mexico, countless tours, rallies, etc. Selling this bike would be like selling a part of my body.

Actually, the frame was made in 1961 as a track bike. I acquired it 1968, rode it as a fixie for a couple of years, then had it chromed in 1970 and have been riding it ever since. It has been through a couple of upgrades, but it is still stiff, short coupled and comfortable. No need to change bikes this far along.

Nice looking bike! I just rehab'd my '75 Mirage, with a sort of "mustache" bar. I envy your front fork... my original was squished by a drunk landlord, and was replaced with an all-chrome one. >sigh<
(PS: Your saddle looks a touch "nose-up"... just saying.)

I totally get your impulse; I’m moving off my vintage bikes primarily because they’re a pain to work on! I swore off cantilever brakes when V-brakes came out because of the ease of servicing. I guess I’m lazy, but there is something to be said for being able to strip a bike to the frame with just three or four allen keys!
