Compatible tubeless sealant
Hello.
A buddy asked me to do some work on his bike including refreshing his tubeless sealant. The LBS put it in originally and he has no idea what brand was used. I have read that not all sealants are the same and mixing can have negative effects.
Anybody have any experience or knowledge on this?
Thanks

It’s not worth finding out...just replace it. I’m never fanatical about cleaning out old sealant when changing brands; just dump out the old and put in the new stuff.

The LBS almost certainly used Stan's or Orange Seal. Just add one or the other of those and it will be fine, as they are both latex-based.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't Stan's.
