That's awesome. I'm trying to remember the sketch, maybe it was on SNL. Was it Christopher Walken playing a rock producer?

Yep, I think it was Bruce Dickinson he played. 😎 I wonder if either one rode a bicycle much. 🤔 Or at least someone from Blue Oyster Cult (the song was "Don't Fear The Reaper". ✌️

I was 16 years old then and would have fixed her bike for free if it broke - I hoped it would break.

The "bike" comes in around the one minute mark. Ringo needs to raise his saddle.

Thanks, that made me smile. ✌️ It looked like Ringo also needed a higher gear, he was spinning out. 😉

I can't find a photo, but here's a link to a story about Neil Peart:
https://www.cleveland.com/popmusic/2...es_a_ride.html
Cyclist, motorcyclist, world traveler, and 3 or 4 of the top ten drummers of all time.

Rest In Peace.

Amen, RIP Neil, Godspeed.

Arguably maybe no.1, highly revered by many if not most of the best.

Actors Eve Hewson and Clive Owen on the circa 1900 Morgan & Wright Rambler used on the Cinemax drama The Knick. It looks like they used the real deal for the show. The bicycle was the cherished possession of Hewson's Lucy Elkins character and she portrays an avid cyclist by pedaling with the balls of her feet, while Owen's Dr, Thackery is in character as a novice cyclist, learning to ride, by pedaling on his arches.

Re-read what I wrote. He occupies several positions in the top ten.

"Modern Drummer magazine voted [him] "Best Rock Drummer" so many times he was finally retired to his own personal Hall of Fame."

Yeah, I re-read it several times the first time, still couldn't get between the lines so I rendered my 2c, apparently that's the best I can do.

Glad we agree.

Thanks for the rec. I finally got around to watching this one tonight. Good fun for those of us who can tolerate French farce at a 1960s film pace. Young Genevieve Bujold is more than worth the price of admission, but there's some great scenics and filmcraft involved here too. Also a very healthy anti-war perspective for all you humanists out there.

Alright, a little love for Lynn Shelton films here, too. I especially liked Humpday (super cringeworthy) and Laggies. My wife is an old school chum of Lynn and they are Facebook buddies nowadays.
