Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

F - photobucket! They will lose all their users and then have nobody to show their adds to. They will go out of business.

I recently bought the 2017 Kestrel Talon. It looks and performs great. Way better than my old Raleigh Merit. The sizing is big though. I had the Raleigh size 52 and the Kestrel size 48 so make sure to compare the size with other bikes.

I destroyed my 2009 Scott CR1 Team in a bad accident last month. I love that bike. I'd love to buy another one but know it's highly unlikely that I'll ever find one as well cared for as mine before the accident.

No issues with that single ring without a chain guide? I ran a similar setup on my gravel bike and everything was fine when the chain was new and clean but after a couple of months (despite normal maintenance) it started to frequently get thrown of the chainring, especially when I changed gear.

You might want to use a chainring designed for 1x setups.

Sweet ride. Compact cranksets aren't really spendy if you shop around.

I really like it! I've only used it for commuting so far so I can't speak to it's performance on longer rides.

The stock saddle is miserable and real noisy.

Since taking that picture I did put a ks cx. chain catcher on it.

Thanks guys. I Love the bike. Great climber but can also sprint like no other. The perfect all rounder, I'd only replace it with the newer SLX model.
