Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Trek Crocket

Hello,
First time posting in this forum. I am towing around the idea of a new bike. I had been thinking about a fixed gear bike because of the simplicity and the fact I have never owned one, but the fact that I live at the top of a 2.5 mile climb in a rather hilly area of So Cal has kind of negated the desire.

So now I am looking at a cross and gravel bikes, and specifically the Trek Crocket. Both of my mountain bikes and my road bike are Treks.

What are your opinions of this bike? There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info or posts about them here.

My plan is to use it as an all around bike. Weekends with the fam, commuting, some single track and fire roads, maybe a bike packing trip or two.

It would be a great bike for those purposes.
