Drop Bag for Bike Event

I am doing a big long endurance MTB event in a few weeks.

We are allowed to leave a drop Bag at location of the course. Which they transport for us.

Now what would be considered proper Drop Bag. How Big and what is used as a drop Bag?
Can it be just a plastic shopping bag? or a pouch is good?

Suggestions?

I'd do an old knapsack. You need it durable enough to get thrown around and beat up in the back of a pickup or whatever with a bazillion other bags. Useful tips from others:

Also, this race info PDF from the Leadville 100 (go to page 14):

Just a thought !!! How about something that stands out Like a hidious color? yellow-pink-dayglo-or white, and not so small as to be burried. Maybe something that will stand up like a ugly bowling bag. I'm assuming you will not know the location. Maybe tie some dayglo ribbon on it, this may help in locating it in a sea of bags.

I used a large river trip style dry-bag for a similar event. Worked well.
