Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

2018 Cannondale SuperX - Apex1

Just looking for some feedback. Found an ok deal, 2,999 - 40% off leftover = 1,800. Hoping to get some feedback on the bike (slipping seat post a real world thing?) I don't think the proprietary AI/offset wheels is a big deal, butt the cx2.0 rims only being tubed is a bummer. Doesn't sound like they seal w/ ghetto tubeless very well.
If anyone has been riding this and has some feedback over the past year, would love to hear some mileage reports!

Buy a Giant TCX Apex 1x instead? I don't know if this is good advice or not.

From google. And from one of the mechanics not being 100% sure it'll work well given seams on them.

Nope. From whatever review site I had brought up on the phone while out and about yesterday. So good. They can hopefully be run tubeless w/o issue. Now what about the slipping seatpost. Over stated in reviews? Still looking for anyone who has been on one for a season already and has feedback on it overall, too.

I almost bought a Super X! Its a super fast bike and rides comfortably. Went with a Santa Cruz Stigmata I got a similar deal on. If it fits and you like it I'd say go for it. AI seemed like a good solid part of the build from what I read and watched. The Super X has a lot of trophies to back it up also. Good luck with your buy!

Ah ok. I saw they were having a good sale a few weeks back that brought the bike to $1,700. Must be gone now.

Went w/ the SuperX after a lot of debating. It's for the gf, and she loved the way it rode more than the other stuff she demo'd. A big upgrade from her current Specialized Sirrus.
