Showers Pass Elite 2.1 advice needed

Looking for input on the Showers Pass Elite 2.1 sizing. This is for winter riding from probably 2C/35F to 10C/55F. I need some room for layering, but the starting point is that I am just over 5'8", 235lbs, 38 waist and 50 chest. I spoke to somebody at Showers Pass today and they recommended the XXL which their size chart says is for chest size 51-53. Has anybody got experience with their sizing?

I have their 2.0 rain jacket. Can't remember the size though. I will look at it when I get home.

Checked. Size is XL. I am 6'2" and about 208 at "fighting weight." Doubt an XL will fit a 50' chest, especially with multiple layers. The most I have ever worn under mine is a thin base layer, jersey and arm warmers. I have a long torso, so at 5'8" a XXL might be a bit long on you.

Better long than tight, me thinks.
