The emonda has the h2 geometry so it is more laid back

Probably emonda but you can always make your bike comfortable by adjusting parts. Won't look pretty but it will work.

If comfort is your primary concern, you could do better than both of those.
I'd probably go with the Caad12 out of those two choices, but comfort would not be the reason.

The Emonda is a bit of both and the Caad is more race oriented. I will say though, having ridden both, the Caad has much more of an exciting ride and is very comfortable. A few more bikes you might want to check out; Jamis Icon, Fuji Roubaix.

One thing that is a very, very common occurrence for people looking to get a new bike and they have a few contenders, is that after test riding a few, they surprise themselves and find they liked a particular bike that they didn't think would be their first choice.
Both the CAAD & Emonda are so highly regarded, you owe it to yourself to test ride both of them at the very least and also look at some other makes too.

I don't know much about comfort and bikes. I had a Trek Pilot that was supposed to be comfortable for long distances. I replaced it with a CAAD12 which is supposed to be less comfortable. I had professional fittings on both bikes. After 1,400 miles, mostly 40 to 100 mile rides, the CAAD12 has been much more comfortable than the Trek. I think there was always something squirrelly about the Trek that kept me from being completely comfortable on it.
