Thanksgiving Greetings
My wife is a retired union member and still a supporter of the movement. Her union strongly suggest that all members give to the less fortunate on Thanksgiving and Christmas. For the past however many years we have been cooking turkeys for the union distribution, and we will continue to do so as long as we are able. We have to buy the bird, cook the bird, break it down so it has no small bones, and wrap and deliver it to a distribution center.
We do this on the day before Thanksgiving and it feels better than Christmas to us.
We wish all a very safe and rewarding Thanksgiving.

Aw, geez. The small bones are the best part! JK
The Catholic church I was raised in hosts a huge Thanksgiving community dinner, basically intended for the less fortunate among us. Even though I longer practice the faith, I've always wanted to volunteer to help out at this event but both work and my own traditional big family dinner always got in the way. So of course, this year, the first year I'm unemployed and have no big family dinner planned - it's been cancelled. They couldn't find anyone to organize it this year!

I've been invited to a friend's house for T-Day, for singles marooned from family. It'll be my second year that I'm not the designated chef. But I'll bring fresh baked bread and yeast rolls to observe my celebration of gluten and carbs.

I've done a fair amount of volunteer work in the past, including warehousing, dishwashing, and security at holiday dinners. It's always rewarding on a personal level. 👍
The last few years, I've been on the road, by choice, and I've often been approached by total strangers, who've invited me to share a meal. I was a bit embarrassed that anyone thought I needed help, early on, but once I got over that, I realized that most folks are the same, and just want to share some good food & good thoughts for each other. Sounds like a win for everyone, to me. 😎
Happy holidays to everyone, wether you're sharing or receiving. It's all good. 🙂

Just want to say thank you to the enablers enthusiasts here who continue to share gratuitous pics and knowledge of this strange bicycle addiction hobby. You guys and gals help keep my priorities in line.
