So, another thread about butt

So, since around mid June had this little discomfort on my left side butt around the sit bone area.
I had sometimes a week off the saddle because I got too busy with work, but butt didn't get much better.
Participated on a double century on mid July and had another 10+ day layoff because of travel, and when started riding again this discomfort comes back right away.

Saddle height, angle look right and didn't change for a long while.
So, took a mirror and a flashlight and inspected and noticed something like a cyst.
A closer look, it looked like a little volcano with a 'hair' in the middle .
Since the 'hair' is not that soft, my theory is that each time I sit the 'hair' pressures the skin to different directions messing up with he skin around.
A tweezer and bye-bye 'hair'. It's being 3 days since and don't have it annoying my butt anymore .

Folliculitis - an infection around the hair follicle.

Pulling the hair out is certainly one way to deal with it. Paying attention to and even scrupulous hygiene is another - change out of sweaty clothing soon after exercise, wash clothing soon after each use and don't reuse without washing, don't use wash cloths or poufs in the shower, don't reuse towels, and so forth.

I occasionally wash the "warm, moist areas" with Hibiclense antibacterial scrub. It helps prevent and often cures jock itch and athletes foot as well. A bottle is in my shower along with ordinary soap.
