Brompton 11/14+ disc kit from easy ti
I've been agonising whether to buy one of these gear/disc kits from kinetics (Glasgow UK) or Vostok (Russia, but will only sell to UK at massive markup via UK bikeshop).
Imagine my surprise when this pops up: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Easyti-Di...2874%7Ciid%3A1
Naturally I have heard concerns about materials/workmanship etc from the Chinese made titanium stuff - but to be honest the welds look clean and they are using the same grade of titanium.
For this price, plus a second hand brompton (I ride a 20 year old one and rust is slowly killing it) I could build something really special without the weight penalties of the kinetics kit (3kg allegedly) and feeling ripped off by the Vostok trade agreement (plus I find their fork aesthetically challenged). I would say they look over rather than under built, but I'm very tempted. I've been through a good few sets of rims in 20 years as well as many, many chains. I think this might be a summer brompton though....

Yes I did see 135mm. You can do a lot with that - alignment permitting.
i understand that some products are better than others. For example the titanium stem is available in a 'full weld' and not 'full weld' variation which concerns me. Is it tack welded then?
The potential out there to create something really good is now more affordable tahn before. I was thinking of a dual drive brompton. I have the dual drive system on my dahon and it is awesome.

I like the light weigh and simply of the rim brakes on my Brompton and see no need to change it.
