Good for you ! I wasn't pulling against that guy as much as continuing to make the point how ridiculous it is that a certain section of BF posts aren't counted.

Really, though. 10 posts aren't that much. Let the system weed out the people who want to take advantage of the knowledge base here. There's tons available without joining.

I joined a while back. Don’t know how long ago, too old to care. So this thread started and one of my posts was deleted for being nonsense. Something along the line of this post is just a bs post on my way to ten. Nada. Post was deleted for being nonsense. I thought it was an honest post get to ten so I could message a guy about a bike purchase. Since then I seem to see plenty of nonsense post. Maybe you get leniency for seniority. One day I may get there. And if you read this nonsense....

Well this thread is so long and silly it has pulled me back in just to make a useless post. I guess I haven't posted in a year or so maybe longer. Thanks to Randy who has always been helpful. I've posted late in a lot of threads that soon died so maybe this will help wind this one down, who knows.

Fairly new member, longtime reader, first post right here(on my way to ten hopefully). For the record, I'm fine with the post limit, part of joining anything: you live by the local rules. Probably will be starting a thread one of these days when I pick up a C&V project bike (got my eye on a couple local offerings).

So actual idea...maybe we can have volunteers (I'd do it) who post photos for newbies in the appraisal forum? Like a list of people a newbie can send photos to for posting?

I lurk more than I post now a days but I will say that the C&V forum in particular is one of the true treasures of the internet. Very knowledgeable, have tried a bunch of different things as a group, and amazing at identifying the unidentifiable. Anyone reading, be patient, post a few thoughtful comments and your there.

Not sure about the pic restriction specifically, but I think a lot of forums could be better off with a couple of flaming hoops for sign up and tiering up of accounts. Well "better" is a judgement call... but for sure its a under appreciated tool to sculpt a user base. It can do a lot more than just weed out bots and spammers.
If they remove the pic rule here, would this forum turn in to 90% 1-thread wonder users seeking bike support? Probably not but there is a way to find out..

Hang in there, we're worth it. Well, I am. Most of these other people? Not so much.
