I see another theme in through this thread. I've seen canoe/kayak/bike shops, exercise equipment/bike shops, but more mower/bike shops than anything other combo. Why the mower/bike relationship?

I've been looking for this thread! The only bike I've ever had with an old shop sticker is my '73 Schwinn Super Sport. Really crazy thing is even after 41 years of depopulation in the City of Detroit (especially the Eastside) the shop where the bike was purchased new is still open, although not selling bicycles anymore.

Jan de Bruin, in Alphen aan den Rijn, who supplied my first Batavus (a 24"-wheeled, coaster-braked boy's bike) when I was 8 or 9 years old and my second (a full-size "Flying Dutchman" 3-speed) when I was 14.

This decal, BTW, is on a RIH "Speciaal" randonneur:

My Waterford Paramount is showing most of its Seattle Cycles shop sticker. The frame was acquired while working there but I had swapped over the ESGE fenders from an older Trek frame I got when working at a different shop. The shop was sold after I moved back to Virginia, then sold again to the Rodriguez empire and eventually shut down. The building at that address is now a wine shop. I was there a few years ago on an anniversary trip to the PNW.

Here's a better view of the sticker on the Paramount.

Here's the sticker on the RB-T I bought myself as a retirement present. Bike originally came from a local shop, Goodly. The owner, Duke, is a Vietnamese immigrant who worked at the local Schwinn dealer for years and went out on his own. He has made a go of it for the last 30 years or so. I stopped by and told him I'd bought one of his bikes but have not showed it to him yet.

This sticker from Peddler is on my Raleigh Sports L19". This bike was in perfect original condition when I found it for a neighbor about 20 years ago. I mean, this thing looked showroom! She evidently left it parked against her backyard fence all that time and she recently gave it to me to get rid of it. I Googled the street names and that intersection is evidently in Richardson TX.

This one has some history. Found this Raleigh Sports L23" at the curb in Wake Forest NC on trash day back when I worked as a sales rep. Cycles & Sports had been one of my customers but I was no longer calling on that territory. At the time it was the oldest continuously-family-operated bike shop in the U.S.

OK, so I'm resurrecting an old thread. Here's the bike shop sticker that's on my 1978 Univega Gran Rally. Enjoy.
