I went out at 4 this morning and rode 7.1 miles according to my brand new bike computer. I rode 30 on Saturday (my longest day yet) and I just added up my total miles since starting two and a half weeks ago and I am up to about 100 miles total.

I did 35 miles this morning but for some reason, I just couldn't seem to get going. The fact that it was a very dreary morning probably didn't help.

Kept things down to 16.5 miles this afternoon. Just needed to get out and simply ride, without any worries about speed or power. It was well worth the time to just spin some.

Congrats! I was happy to ride 60 on Sunday and while pedaling was reflecting how just a couple of years ago even that would have seemed like a long ride.

How's the bike running since the "tune up"? Have you made friends with the dog since he ran in front of you?

Water Guy,
The ride is running long just fine these days, no issues with that part, at all. keeping the drive train clean and lubed always makes shifting smoother and quicker. The little dog is fine, I checked on her the following Monday, I saw one of the owners out at their mailbox. They have moved to a new home now, they were living at that location until a new house was ready, their old home was devastated in the April 2014 flooding here. I actually miss her running along with me when I come by the place now.

18 miles from Hollywood, Fl to Hallandale Beach Fl to Dania Fl. 9:00pm, 82 degrees. I rode with a life time biker and friend Somesh. We both ride the road and the beach with mountain bikes. Hollywood beach is a great place to ride except for the idiots who stand and walk on the designated BIKE lane. I don't get it, the area open to pedestrians is clearly separated and designated and the bikes / skaters has their own lane and yet people still walk and stand in the damned bike lane, jeopardizing their own safety and many times their children's. I am forced to ride at night because of the intense heat and humidity and I prefer the beach, I always have a headlight and two bright flashing strobes on the bike. Its kinda overkill but I do it so that people can see me and get out of the way. Maybe I should devise a way to mount a serious air horn ((from a train)) that shakes the ground when fired off. Its bad enough that there is little respect for the bikes sharing the streets but you can't even have a peaceful ride on a mostly BIKE ONLY area of the beach. o.k. I'm off my soap box.

I'm with you there, and it's everywhere. I've made a couple of tag lines just for that.

Pedestrian = Stoopid
Pedestrian = Brain Dead
Pedestrian = step in front of moving vehicle with mouth agap
What do you call a guy walking with tire marks up his back? A pedestrian.

Couldn't ride for two days because of the weather. It felt good to do 9.6 miles this morning (on two wheels) even tho it was cold. Time and errands permitting I'll try again this afternoon when it's warmer (in spite of the wind).

Added: 6.5 miles ride on the trike in mostly sunshine but a cool wind.

2015 (Mar 25): 846 Miles—62 Days—82 hrs Weekly Avg: 99

25.6 miles yesterday, much nicer riding weather than Tuesday's chilly, cloudy, windy outing. When spring decides to come around, I'll be one happy boy, however, this weekend we have a return of lows in the lower 40s.. Glad I haven't put away the tights and ls jerseys, yet.

20 slow miles with the wife this morning. Wasn't suppose to rain until this afternoon, but Mother Nature apparently didn't listen to the weather forecasters. Had about three miles of rain. Good thing we both had our rain gear with us.

20 miler on the LOST trail. Feeling good and decided to hit the end of ride in the big ring - on my five mile end of ride segment. Managed to hold 18+ for awhile! That last five miles ended up in 17:42 - not bad for 75 YO.

First commute of the year, that I can recall. About 22 miles total because I took the long way home to take advantage of the 75-degree weather. Windy, but fun!

Beautiful 16.5 mile ride @15mph on the Allez (what a fun bike). Sunny, 70°, enjoying it while it's here. Hip is fully healed, age is not
Brought my average back up to 100.

Yes I did, it was ^&%$# cold at 23F, and the wind was kicking 13 to 18 :-). Did my normal loop a little over 20 miles, the sections headed North were the worst, but the EW sections had a degree of suck too, only the 2mi South was "nice" hehe. C'mon spring :-).

Bright sunshiny day all day today but mid-30's high. The sun made it quite tolerable.
Ten miles. Three hills.
