Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I don't think the show is sold out either. The last time I can remember that the Books played in Boston was 2 years ago at the museum of fine arts and that sold out.

gotta finish making a karaoke video today for the Mamas & the Papas - California Dreaming. I'm actually not sick of the song yet which is a surprise and a good thing.

yeah. i missed out on that golden era of bands. neil perry, lickgoldensky, majority rule, pg. 99, city of caterpillar, you and i, uranus, textbook traitors, saetia, orchid.

while they were tearing up the east coast, i was on the opposite side of the country-- oblivious and stuck in the suburbs. they make me yearn for a time i never knew.

The Replacements, specifically the earlier punk days such as the "Stink" EP and then onto the latter days with Westerberg going small-town alternative blues rock. Enjoyed riding the other day with "Bastards of Young" and "Alex Chilton" running thru my head.
