A couple of shots from the Outback Omnium at the DLV last weekend. Managed a 4th place finish in the omnium despite doing poorly in the scratch heats.
Lapping the field in the points race.

Great pic from my kilo today ... going as deep as I could. Thanks to my former teammate Jon for the pics.

Gordon, is this the olympic velodrome?
I went there last month for the first time.
Sadly they removed the wood. Here is a picture of how the track looks these days:
Well, it might not be wooden, but it is still 333m long and at 2,240m over sea level!!! (7,350 ft)
Fast track... but you already know that ;-)
The new favorite is the indoor 250 track at the national high performance centre.
It is an honor to share this with you.

First ever timed kilo, and I think the first on track pics I have
My new bar stem literally came in the day after, so now I can drop the front a little more/push the bars. Its very crammed in this!

I sat under the garage next to you in MI last weekend! I'm the old guy from Ohio. IMO, you looked too tall with your chest catching lots of air. The image makes you look lower than I recall when looking at you from the side. Once again, IMO, your hips were not in an athletic position for power.

100% agree actually! I bought that bar in a hurry last winter and its a stupid 25mm base bar, and I only have 1 stem that fits. So its not long or low enough and makes me very cramped. I bought a new bar for a new stem that literally came in the Friday before and I just didnt get it together, but gives me a lot more room.
The TT bars are quite painful to use on our 138m track, you can get a couple laps on the black before your neck hurts, so we just dont get a lot of practice in them.

You don't need super narrow bars for the kilo...or pursuits. That's very uncomfortable, and at high speeds, not as stable.
Here are some examples of a wider stance:
Wide elbows with arms in a v-shape:
Wide arms that are straight on:

Not so much narrow, and actually the new bars feel little wider, more of a lower/longer that I needed to get my back down. I was actually having to push my saddle back as my knees were hitting my elbows.

I thought this photo was too cool not to share. It's from the P/1/2/3 keirin final at Kissena this past weekend, taken by Robert Lai.

I've only got a few photos of me on the track, I normally just take video.
This is me just after I got my Casco and disc... had to try them out and show them off obviously
This is from a training session from last Saturday, was doing a 4 lap build up behind the pace bike
- full video of it is here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jJaiFedDmY -
