Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? 2 if it is hot.
1 Pegged if I am feeling frisky.

If I'm wearing khakis (Mon - Thurs for work) then I peg my right leg and pull my sock over. Pretty dorky but it keeps the grease, etc. off my pants.

If I'm wearing jeans I just roll up the right side. They're not very baggy on the bottom so there's little to no risk of the left leg going through the frame, plus there's no bottle cage on my SS.

Wow,
It's half way through the day here at the office and I just looked down and saw to my horror that my pant leg is still rolled up.

On an old frame I had with a loose bearing bb, my left pant leg got caught on the lockring and twirled it right off. Granted, it was probably not tight enough to start with... but still!

I use a reflective strap to keep my right pants leg out of the crank.

Both. All day long through class. Plus... I have some DAMN nice legs... so all the chickas can get a look.

Also... my right leg got caught on the crank arm once. It hurted.

You know what else I just realized. Jeans that were too small (lengthwise) for me, can now be utilized as "riding" jeans because I'm just gonna roll them up!

I usually just roll up the pant leg that isn't packing my junk... don't want to get pulled over for indecent exposure.

Broke my ankle once when my non-drive side pantleg got caught on a crank.

So yeah, I roll both.

I think it's pretty sad that the OP assumed that the main reasons we ride bikes is to get to the coffee shop or to class.
